FOOD SERVICES’ FOOD SAFETY DURING STORM/POWER OUTAGES - October 29 - November 3, 2011
There have been recent questions and concerns about foodsafety during last week’s snowstorm and town-wide power outages. There aregenerators in each school building which operate the power to the freezer andrefrigeration equipment in every kitchen. At no time was there any power loss to these units during the week. The food was stored at appropriate foodtemperatures at all times and the quality was not compromised in any way.
