The Friends of J.V. Fletcher Library—Book Sale! 5/1, 5/2, and 5/3

Come to the First Parish Church United, 48 Main Street. Friday, May 1, is a Friends members-only preview sale from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. Memberships and renewals are available online now. No scanners on Friday, please. Saturday, May 2 is the Public Sale, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 3, is a bag sale from 1 to 4 p.m. Attendees must purchase a reusable bag for $10 to enter and can then fill it with items. (Scanners are welcome on Saturday and Sunday.)

The sale will include thousands of gently used books plus CDs, audiobooks, Blu-ray discs, and DVDs. We accept credit card payments in addition to checks and cash. Blanchard Theatre Arts - Performing 5/14 and 5/15

Scout Troop 437 Annual Bike & Spring/Summer Sporting Goods Sale in Westford - 5/20

Our annual Bike & Spring/Summer Sporting Goods sale will be held on the Westford Common, at the corner of Main and Lincoln Streets, on Saturday, May 2, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, rain or shine. Cash payments are preferred; Venmo is also accepted. Proceeds support troop high adventure, camp, and activities. Donations and consignments of bikes and gently used sporting and camping equipment are greatly appreciated! Visit BIKESALE or EMAIL your questions.

Westford Academy Baseball & Softball Updates:

  • Spring Clinics—Registration Open

The Westford Academy baseball and softball programs, in partnership with the Westford Youth Baseball & Softball League (WYBSL), will host spring training clinics for youth players this April. Clinics will be led by WA varsity coaches and student athletes and will focus on fundamental skills including hitting, fielding, throwing, and base running.

  • Baseball (Tee Ball–U12): April 21 & 22, 10:00 AM-12:00 PM
  • Softball (6U–14U+): April 22 & 23, 10:00 AM-12:00 PM

  • Westford Youth Baseball & Softball League Volunteer Coaches Needed for 2026 Season

Westford Youth Baseball & Softball League is seeking volunteer coaches for the upcoming spring season. No prior coaching experience is required—training, practice plans, and support are provided. Assistant coaches are also welcome.

  • WYBSL Youth Umpire Registration Open for 2026

Westford Youth Baseball & Softball League is seeking youth umpires for the upcoming spring season. Students must be at least 13 years old in 2026. Training will be provided, along with a league t-shirt and necessary equipment. Umpires are paid $25–$30 per game. Register here. 

Westford Academy Girls' Summer Soccer Clinic - Summer 2026

Monday, July 27 – Friday, July 31, from 9am to 12pm on the turf at WA. Come join us this summer for a female-focused, five-day soccer clinic at Westford Academy’s Trustees Stadium! The clinic is designed for players ages 7-14 and will incorporate technical skills, small group training, scrimmages, and competitions. Westford Youth Hockey - Registration Open!  

Westford Youth Field Hockey is gaining momentum as teams begin to take shape for the fall season. Open to players in Grades 3 - 6, players will develop skills, confidence, and game experience in a fast-paced and engaging setting.
