Robinson School Project Update

This week, the Robinson School Building Committee reviewed early draft alternatives for the project. The design team is studying a wide range of possibilities, including repair/code upgrade, addition/renovation, and new construction options at Robinson, Abbot, Day, and Farmer Way. This step follows the feasibility study process guided by the Mass School Building Authority to test the fit of different sized schools at the locations. The next step is comparing possible scenarios against the educational vision, site constraints, traffic and safety needs, outdoor/play space, phasing disruption, sustainability goals, community use, relative cost and more. The options also reflect some of the larger questions this process is meant to study, including school size, grade configuration (K-2/3-5 vs K-5), preschool location, and whether a project should serve only Robinson or address broader district needs.

The next Community Forum will be a recap of work to date and discussion on June 11 at 7PM at Millennium (behind Abbot) and on Zoom: https://tinyurl.com/RobinsonJune11

WA Athletic Boosters

Are you a parent of a student-athlete looking to get more involved in Westford Academy athletics? Consider joining the Westford Academy Athletic Boosters!

Our 501c3 non-profit organization supports all Westford Academy sports through fundraising events like fall and spring canning with teams, trivia night, and the snack shack at Friday night football games. These efforts directly benefit our athletes and programs through funding equipment and providing scholarships to seniors.

Joining the Westford Academy Athletic Boosters is a great way to support Westford Academy athletics while connecting with other parents in the community. There’s a role for everyone—whether you volunteer for a few hours at an event or take on a larger leadership position. You do not have to have a child at WA to help out.

Interested in getting involved? Click the link to provide your information and join us on Wed. 6/10 for our last meeting this school year. Check out our website too. We’d love to have you!
