Blanchard Community Update 4/17/20

Hi Everyone,

We hope this update finds your family safe and healthy. Wrapping up our second week, our community continues to impress with a high level engagement in remote learning. This is attributed to a deeply committed staff and an awesome group of students and parents, who we know are all doing their best.

By now, some remote learning assignments have been returned back to students. Please remind your children to read the feedback from their teachers. Although not required, we strongly encourage everyone to take advantage of each staff member’s scheduled virtual office hours, an opportunity to stay connected, ask clarifying questions, and get feedback prior to submitting work.

We are accountable for every student’s education during the school closure and to that end, teachers are obligated to document student participation each week. We have asked staff to reach out to individual students and families proactively if participation is low. If there is any reason your student may be “absent”, please be sure to inform teachers and/or counselors and we will make accommodations.

Thank you for your continued support! We hope you are able to unplug, relax, and reset over the next few days. Enjoy the long weekend!

Sincerely,

Tim and Patti
