Just a few more days for our seniors and a few more weeks for everyone else!

Milestones

In just a few days, we will celebrate the Class of 2026 at the Westford Academy Graduation ceremony. As their time with WPS concludes, we hope they transition to their next adventure with cherished memories and the confidence that they are fully equipped for the diverse paths ahead of them.

In a few short weeks, a large number of students will be taking their next big steps, moving from one school to another. While these milestones can feel both thrilling and a bit poignant, we hope each student experiences a transition that is joyful and meaningful.

RSBC

Thank you to everyone who has joined us for the various Community Forums that the Robinson School Building Committee (RSBC) has been hosting for the MSBA Feasibility Study.  There are two more in June before the end of the school year both at the Millenium Building as well as on Zoom.  As mentioned last month, we are holding one tonight, June 1st, just prior to the regularly scheduled School Committee meeting, as an additional Educational Visioning session to share findings from other sessions as well as to continue to gather input.  On Thursday, June 11, the last forum will be focused as a recap of the sessions that have taken place so far and provide additional opportunity for discussion.  There will be more opportunities in the Fall as we hold forums about the possibility of redistricting and changing the grade configurations for all of our elementary schools as part of this process.  The project charter prioritizes an inclusive, adaptable learning environment with practical, sustainable systems that deliver long-term value. All discussions have shared a focus on building community consensus with a comprehensive, long-term, town-wide facilities plan that reflects fiscal responsibility and considers options such as consolidation and minimizing student transitions.

District Google Calendar

We’ve heard your feedback! While the PDF version of our academic calendar is a great reference, we know our community needs a more flexible, accessible way to stay informed.

We are excited to launch our new District Google Calendar. You can now subscribe directly to have all district events sync right to your phone or personal device.

How to access it: Simply click the District Icon located on any of our school homepages to view and subscribe.

We hope this new tool makes planning your school year just a little bit easier!

Community Coffee

Once you subscribe to the district calendar, you will also see that this month’s Community Coffee for an informal opportunity to connect and engage with me and a few members of the School Committee, is scheduled for Friday, June 12th at 12:00pm in the Millenium Building. Typically, we do not have a specific agenda; however, we are hoping to focus this month’s conversation on the Feasibility Study and the impact that it can have on all of our elementary schools over the next few years.  ROUTES Roasters will be open across the hall if you would like to purchase a coffee, tea or hot chocolate, but it is not required to attend.

Bus Pass Registration

Just a friendly reminder that we are already processing 2026-2027 Bus Pass Registrations. It’s time to secure your seat for the upcoming school year. Registering early not only checks one more thing off your "back-to-school" list but also saves you money!

· July 15, 2026: An additional $25 late fee will be applied to each pass starting on this date.

Summer Survival Guide: Balancing Screens and Skills for a Fun-Filled Break

Finally, as we prepare for the summer break, this wonderful free webinar from Common Sense Media was shared with us recently regarding how to balance screen time over the summer. We thought it would be helpful to pass it along to all of you. This opportunity is very much in alignment with our new strategic goals of technology balance, but specifically supporting the family-side:
