Summertime...Update 6-22-18!

Whether you prefer Gershwin or Smith or even Chesney, I hope you find either the "fish are jumpin'", you have "time to sit back and unwind", or that school being out is "like a long-lost friend you ain't seen in a while and can't help but smile."

Today being the first full-day of summer, we celebrated with an early release.

To minimize the mystery shrouding next year's schedules, we have released them along with the final report cards for the year.  As always, the report cards can be accessed through iParent by going to the Document Section. Students can access their schedule for next year through their iStudent accounts.  Select the iStudent Schedule and then change the School Year to 2018-2019 in the drop down menu. You can view all of the classes by changing the selection in the Term drop down menu.  For classes that meet all year, select T1; for classes that meet for either a single quarter (FLEX) or a semester (Engineering or Art), change the selection to either Q1, Q2, Q3, or Q4.  The Advisory and locker information listed on the top of the screen in the biographical section will be updated later in the summer when the official data is rolled over to the next school year.  If you have any questions about the schedules, please contact your child's guidance counselor.

This morning we were able to recognize the 6th and 7th grade students receiving Citizenship Awards for our final term.  They were nominated by their teachers for their exemplary contributions to our positive learning environments and the overall culture here at Stony Brook.  Please join me in congratulating 7th graders Ann K., Brooke M., David M., Camryn F., and Daniel D. along with 6th graders Leah S., Mia K., Saket R., and Maitreyi R.

It has been another wonderful school year here at Stony Brook and we appreciate all of the support we receive on a regular basis.

As I reminded all of the students this morning, please have a relaxing, enjoyable summer and continue to make safe, wise choices.

Enjoy,

Chris
