8th graders, it's your last year at Stony Brook! Let's make it memorable by getting your baby photos in the yearbook. There are QR codes around the hallways, please scan them and upload your cute baby photos. You can also ask your advisory teacher for more details. All photos are due by November 24th.

Stony Brook ARTISTS! There is only a week and half  left in the yearbook cover art contest!  Get your cover art design to Ms. Twitchell or Mrs. Schanre by November 24th! See the Yearbook website or the posters in the hallways for specific requirements.

Attention skier and snowboarding enthusiasts! Ski Club is happening now. Please see Mrs. Sullivan in A307 for a permission slip or pick one up in the main office. Signups are due by November 30.

Attention 8th graders! If you are planning to apply to a private high school for 9th grade and have not already talked to your guidance counselor, please see Mr. L in guidance this week. If you are planning to apply to Nashoba Tech, you can go ahead and complete the online application with an adult at home if you haven't already done so. The link for the online application is posted on the 8th grade guidance google classroom. If you have any questions about applying to high school, please see Mr. L in guidance.

The Anti-Racism and Social Justice Book Club is reading All American Boys by Jason Reynolds and Brendan Kiely. Join us every other Wednesday in person in A119, starting December 1. Our group is a safe space to ask questions and learn together. Learn more about anti-racism and what you can do to create a more just society. ALL are welcome! Books are provided. See the posters around school for the google classroom code or contact Ms. Larkin if you have questions.

Beginning on the Monday after Thanksgiving break, November 29, announcements will change to 7:51 each morning. You will enter school as usual and go to Advisory with no interruptions until 7:51. During announcements, we will present the Pledge of Allegiance and have a moment of silence, followed by any important announcements as we have always done in the past. We will continue to expect your silence and attention during this time so everyone can gather information about their day. At the completion of announcements, you will wait to be dismissed to your first class.

Any Math Team member who is unable to attend Meet #2 on December 9 should inform Mrs. Rowe immediately. Reminder - all participants should arrange for a way home at 3:45 on the day of the meet.Those individuals who took the qualifying test and would like to review their test should see the coaches during Advisory: 6th grade, see Mrs. Rowe; 7th grade, see  Mrs. Murphy; 8th grade,  see Mrs. Severo.  PLEASE make sure to let Mrs. Rowe know if you are unable to attend the Thursday, December 9th meet immediately.
