Screenings

If you do NOT want your student screened please inform the school nurses at the beginning of the school year.

9th Grade Parents:

Scoliosis screening is done on all 9th grade students. If you receive a letter from us it means that the school nurse has recommended that your child follow-up with their own physician. Please return the referral forms to us as soon as you can. If your child is already under medical care you can call us and we will add the information to their medical record.

10th Grade Parents:

All students are screened for height, weight, BMI, vision and hearing. These tests are done over a period of time throughout the year as to not impact on the student's 'time on learning'. If your student tells you they did not pass the vision test please go ahead and make an appointment for them to see an eye care specialist. Contact the school nurse in you do NOT want your child screened.

Height, Weight and BMI are done on all students. Please notify the nurses if you do not want your child screened.

11th Grade Parents:

All students are required by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts/Massachusetts Department of Public Health to have an up to date physical on file in the 10th grade. This physical can be dated anytime after August 1, 2016. Please have your child bring the physical to the clinic. We will send letters out in October if we have not received a physical from your student.

12th Grade Parents:

Students will be given their complete medical record at graduation practice. Please keep this information in a safe place since they may need it for college, military, and/or employment.
