Blanchard Daily Announcements 09/05/2023

Daily Announcements are shared with students each morning.  Parent announcements are communicated weekly via the Principal's Weekly Newsletter.

Starting today we will not be calling classrooms for chromebooks or other school items that were forgotten at home. All items will be placed on the "Items from Home" table by the main office.

All students interested in Math Team, AMC Math, and Math Madness will meet in the Learning Commons during advisory on Thursday September 7 after announcements . If you are currently playing soccer, field hockey or cross country you can join after your season but come to the meeting on Thursday. Come join the madness!

Tryouts for boys and girls soccer and girls field hockey will start on Wednesday, Sept. 6th right after school.  Teams should change in the locker room and meet in the gym. All athletes MUST be registered and have an up to date physical on file with Mrs. MacDonald by Wednesday close of school. Field hockey is now opening tryouts to 6th graders.  If you need a field hockey stick for tryouts we have those available.

Attention all Boys Middle School Soccer Players -  Tryouts start Wednesday at 2:15pm.  We will meet in the gym after school, then head to the fields.  YOU MUST HAVE A VALID PHYSICAL AND YOU MUST HAVE REGISTERED FOR BOYS MIDDLE SCHOOL SOCCER ON FAMILY ID BY WEDNESDAY. If you were at the sign-up meeting, make sure you check your school email and join the Middle School team Google Classroom.  If you were not, please email Coach Coward at Westford Academy, and he will add you to the GC.

Any students interested in joining Blanchard Theatre Arts during the 2023-2024 school year should attend the BTA Information Night next week.  The meeting will take place at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, September 6 in the auditorium.  Students should attend with a parent or caregiver.   We look forward to seeing you there!   Auditions for the fall musical, "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" will be held on September 12, 13 and 14.  Crew sign ups are due by September 12.  We will have information about all of this at the information meeting next week. BTA has a Google Classroom.  See Mrs. Sacco in Room 12 for the Classroom code.
