The Blanchard girls soccer team earned a hard-fought victory over rival Stony Brook Middle School by the score of 1-0 yesterday.  Olivia C. earned the shutout, and Addie D.'s long shot with 5 minutes to go in the game was the difference maker.  Allison V., Emily S., and Elizabeth T. contained Stony's best player, while Sophie C. played an all around excellent game.   The team moves to 2 wins, no losses, and one tie on the season.  GREAT WORK GIRLS!!

The Blanchard Cross Country Team continued their terrific start to the season yesterday away at Locke Middle School in Billerica. The boys team won with strong outings from top finishers Andrew S., Aiden G., Charlie S., Jacob B., and Shaan S. The girls team also got the win with top finishers Emily W., Emily D., Diya S., Amrita H., and Charlotte K. leading the way for the Bulldogs. Terrific job!

Marvin K. scored a goal yesterday to celebrate his birthday in a Bulldogs 3-0 win against cross-town rivals Stony Brook Panthers.  Stepping up in this big game were goalies Logan H. and Alex M. who each made huge saves at key moments.  Matthew V. and Shane T. also contributed strong defensive performances.

Due to the huge turnout at the September meeting, the Blanchard Book Club will be split into 2 groups:  (a ‘grade 6 group’ and a ‘grades 7 and 8 group’).  Both groups will discuss Small Spaces by Katherine Arden at the October meeting, but from then on, the two groups will have different books.  If you are interested in attending the October meeting and have not yet gotten a copy of  Small Spaces, please stop by the Learning Commons to pick one up.

Student Council members:  Remember to submit your Executive Board letters to Google classroom by Wednesday, October 6th.
