Student Council wants to thank everyone who applied to serve on the executive board for this school year. There were many qualified applicants to choose from.  Board members were chosen for their great ideas for this school year as well as their leadership skills.   We are happy to announce that Joanna Finney will be serving as secretary and our student council co-presidents are Drew Wasylyshyn and Anna Jain.  Congratulations to you all!

Blanchard field hockey unfortunately lost in their game yesterday against Stony Brook Middle School. It was a competitive game and the team would like to give a shout out to Caitlin M. for scoring a beautiful goal for our team. Catherine S. also deserves a shout out for her excellent work as a midfielder. Additionally, the team would like to recognize our wonderful goalie Sabah C.

Our cross country team hosts Chelmsford this afternoon at Stony Brook.  Meet time is 3:30 pm. The field hockey team travels to Concord for their game at 3:45 pm.  Our soccer teams play under the lights vs. Stony Brook tonight at WA. Come cheer on our boys when they take the field at 5:00 pm and the girls who will follow at 6:15 pm.  Good luck Bulldogs!

The Blanchard girls soccer team suffered their first loss of the season at Bedford on Wednesday, losing by the score of 3-1.  Paige M. scored Blanchard's only goal, powering a shot through the goalie from the left side of the box and battling the Bedford defense the entire game.  The team looks to bounce back against Stony Brook this Thursday evening at 6:15pm on the Westford Academy football field.

There will be yoga club after school today in the Health room.

ADL leaders will not be meeting this week.

Mrs. Brandt is out today.  The Learning Commons is closed for all advisories.

Friday, October 29th will be Halloween Spirit Day at Blanchard! Get spooky! Be creative! Come to school in costume or wear your orange and black! This has become a scary fun tradition for students and staff at Blanchard because everyone makes school-appropriate choices. Some guidelines are listed below.

Halloween Spirit Day Costume Guidelines:  Students are still required to wear a mask at all times while in the building. No costume masks, please. Hats will be allowed if part of a costume and not covering your face.  No costumes that could be offensive or a risk to safety.  No weapons, sharp objects, chains or anything that could be perceived as a weapon, damage property, or cause injury.

The deadline for ski club sign up is Friday, October 29th.  See Mrs. Casey, Mr. Merrigan, or Mrs. Ottesen if you have any questions.
