Blanchard Daily Announcements 10/27/2021

Daily Announcements are shared with students each morning.  Parent announcements are communicated weekly via the Principal's Weekly Newsletter. Please follow these steps to subscribe:  (1.) Go to the Blanchard Middle School home page. (2.) Choose quick link "Subscribe to e-alerts". (3.) Enter and confirm your email address.  (4.) Select Blanchard Middle School-"Principal Communication Newsletter". (5.) Click on "Subscribe Me.". 

Yearbook will be meeting on Wednesday, October 27th in room 38.  Come learn what goes on behind the scenes in making the yearbook and help us to capture memories of the school year.  See Mrs. Isaacs or Mr. Hill with any questions.

There will be a Blanchard Messenger meeting tomorrow afternoon in room 30.  New members are always welcome!

All after school sports are canceled due to weather.  Any games or meets that were scheduled will be rescheduled to later in the week.  Coaches will update athletes.

Pride Alliance will meet today in the Guidance Classroom from 2-3 p.m.

We're going to get strange and spooky at Blanchard on Friday.  Only three days left.  Get your costumes ready for Halloween Spirit Day!

Halloween Spirit Day Costume Guidelines:  Students are still required to wear a mask at all times while in the building. No costume masks, please. Hats will be allowed if part of a costume and not covering your face.  No costumes that could be offensive or a risk to safety.  No weapons, sharp objects, chains or anything that could be perceived as a weapon, damage property, or cause injury.

On Sept. 30, President Biden officially proclaimed October 2021 as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. To get involved at Blanchard, we are making Thursday PINK SPIRIT DAY. By wearing pink, we will be united as a school community to pay tribute to those who have lost their lives to breast cancer, support survivors, and recognize the millions of families and medical professionals who dedicate their lives to providing care and hope to those impacted by the disease. 

The Blanchard Learning Commons is hosting a "Scary Stories" event during mid day advisories on Thursday October 28, 2021.  We will close the doors, turn off the lights and listen together to short, creepy tales.  You must sign up by the end of the school day on Wednesday using the form on the Learning Commons website.  Space is limited.  

The deadline for ski club sign up is Friday, October 29th.  See Mrs. Casey, Mr. Merrigan, or Mrs. Ottesen if you have any questions.
