Blanchard Daily Announcements 2/11/2020

Daily Announcements are shared with students each morning.  Parent announcements are communicated weekly via the Principal's Weekly Newsletter. Please follow these steps to subscribe:  (1.) Go to the Blanchard Middle School home page. (2.) Choose quick link "Subscribe to e-alerts". (3.) Enter and confirm your email address.  (4.) Select Blanchard Middle School-"Principal Communication Newsletter". (5.) Click on "Subscribe Me.

The Blanchard Messenger will be meeting this afternoon in room 37.  If you can't make the meeting, but would like to submit a piece of writing for the next issue, please see Mrs. Cannata or Mrs. Wolber for the Google Classroom code.  

Get your Candygrams at lunch through Wednesday or until supplies run out.  $1 each or 3 for $2.  Candygrams will be delivered in Advisory on Friday.  

There will be a Student Council meeting on Wednesday after school in room 6.  

There will be a Peer Leader meeting today after school.  

8th grade Health and Physical Education classes will combine all week for yoga in the gym.  8th grade Health classes go directly to the gym. 

Chess Club will meet after school today in room 36.

Latin Club will meet today after school in room 11.

Game Club will meet Wednesday after school.  

After school Harmonics rehearsal is canceled today.

A World of Difference Peer Mentors will have a meeting this morning in room 38 at 7:45.

Our basketball teams finish off their season this week with two home games.  Today they will take on Stony Brook.  Tip off time for boys is 3:00 with girls to follow at 4:00.  On Thursday 2/13 we will close out the season with games against Concord.  On Thursday, our boys game won't start until 3:45 and girls will follow at 4:45.  Good luck Bulldogs!!

Attention 8th Grade Parents:  Blanchard yearbook is looking for a poem for the first page of the yearbook.  Poems should be about your three years at Blanchard.  Submit your entry to Ms. Scalia by February 26th.  Winner of the contest wins a FREE yearbook!
