Blanchard Daily Announcements 9/17/2021

Daily Announcements are shared with students each morning.  Parent announcements are communicated weekly via the Principal's Weekly Newsletter. Please follow these steps to subscribe:  (1.) Go to the Blanchard Middle School home page. (2.) Choose quick link "Subscribe to e-alerts". (3.) Enter and confirm your email address.  (4.) Select Blanchard Middle School-"Principal Communication Newsletter". (5.) Click on "Subscribe Me."

Chess Club will have its first meeting of the year on Tuesday.  It will be in room 36 after school.  All are welcome.  Make sure you've paid your activities fee with the office.

Student Council is back!  If you love planning creative activities to bring our school community together, join us after school on Wednesday, September 22nd in Mrs. Rice's room (room 6).  Reach out to Mrs. Rice or Mrs. Manning with any questions.

The library will not be open during mid day advisories today.  Students who want to check out or return books should do so during morning homeroom.

There is no rehearsal or anything related to BTA after school today.

All 7th and 8th grade orchestra students should report to the music room during morning advisory for rehearsal.

The first meeting of The Intermediate Math League of Eastern Massachusetts competition team will be held on Thursday, September 23rd in the Learning Commons.  All students are welcome to attend.

Game Club will have its first meeting on Wednesday, September 22nd in the Guidance Classroom.  See Mr. Merrigan with any questions.

Mrs. Brandt and JV Fletcher librarian, Jess Dyment, invite book lovers in all grades to join our book club!  We gather in the Blanchard Learning Commons after school on the third Tuesday of each month and end in time for the late bus.  We talk about the book we loaned to members the previous month, enjoy a snack, do a book related activity and hand out copies of next month's book.  Our first meeting is next Tuesday, September 21st.  We will discuss ideas for which book to read this year and will hand out the October book.  For more information check out our web page under Blanchard Activities or just come to our first meeting.
