Blanchard Daily Announcements 9/23/2021

Daily Announcements are shared with students each morning.  Parent announcements are communicated weekly via the Principal's Weekly Newsletter. Please follow these steps to subscribe:  (1.) Go to the Blanchard Middle School home page. (2.) Choose quick link "Subscribe to e-alerts". (3.) Enter and confirm your email address.  (4.) Select Blanchard Middle School-"Principal Communication Newsletter". (5.) Click on "Subscribe Me."

There are a few changes to our sports schedule today.  Our XC meet today will be at home vs. Stony Brook.  There will be a bus for XC to Stony Brook after school.  Meet time is 3:00 PM. Our boy's soccer team will be facing off against Lincoln at Stony Brook at 3:45 PM. Girl's field hockey is playing against Stony Brook at 3:00 PM and our girl's soccer team is traveling to Lincoln for their game at 3:30 PM.  Good luck Bulldogs!

Pride Alliance is a student led and student organized club that aims to create a safe, welcoming environment for all students regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity at BMS.  Members of the Pride Alliance group will discuss the experiences of students in the group, LGBTQIA+ current events, and ways to handle homophobia, transphobia and bias in school and the world.  This is meant to be a safe space for all LGBTQIA+ students to share experiences and support.  The first meeting will be on Tuesday, September 28th in the Guidance Classroom from 2-3 p.m.

Applications for new ADL-A World of Difference Leaders are now available through the WPS ADL website.  This opportunity is open to seventh and eighth-graders who are interested in creating welcoming and inclusive spaces all around Westford Public schools.  Applications are due by October 1st. An information session will be held Friday at 11:10 for interested 7th and 8th graders in room 37. Contact Mrs. Wolber, Mrs Gupta, Mrs Brostowin, or Mrs Rice with any questions.  Returning ADL leaders, the first meeting will be today at 11:10 in room 37 during the second advisory.
