Senior Portraits Information

The due date for ALL Senior Portraits is December 1, 2023.

Legacy Photography will take a photo of all students for the school identification purposes. If you would like to have your senior portraits taken by them you should receive your appointment information directly and you are required to confirm your appointment.

If you decide to take your photo with Legacy, they will send me the photo of your choice by the deadline - be sure to follow up with them directly to let them know which pose you would like in the yearbook.  Please also understand that we have no control over these appointments, you will need to change them with Legacy directly.

However, you are not required to purchase these photos or use one of them in the yearbook. If you prefer to have your senior photos taken at another photography studio, please follow the specifications below. Please do not wait until the last minute to take your photos! Ideally, you should have the photos taken by November 1, 2022 in order to allow enough time for the photographer to process and complete your photos. Most photographers are extremely busy during the months of August - October and may be limited on how many appointments that they have available. It also takes a few weeks to choose and prepare your image with their photo labs. Do not wait until the last minute to take your photos!

Also - Please do not take screen captures of proofs that photographers have shown you and use that as your submittal.  First off - it is copyright infringement to just take a photo you did not get permission to take.  Your photographers know our school and will make sure that I get the right photo of you.  So please tell them which one to send me and they will.

Photo Specs

Head and shoulders pictures online taken inside or outdoors are acceptable. No props please(musical instruments, pets, etc)- and the picture should be in portrait orientation only.

Please be sure that the file adheres to all of the following criteria:

  1. File must be in .jpg or .png format ONLY.
  2. Image size dimensions must be 4 x 6 inches or larger.
  3. Resolution must be a minimum of 300 dpi (dots per inch) or it will not be accepted!
  4. File must be submitted via email on or before the due date (12/1/2023).
  5. Please remember that we reserve the right to not accept any image if we deem that it is inappropriate for the yearbook or if the outlined criteria above is not followed.

All portraits should be submitted on time.
This year the final portrait is due on December 1, 2023

Please plan accordingly with the photographer - ideally, in order to make this deadline your photos should be taken and selected by early October of 2023. Photographers need time to finalize your session and get approvals from students and parents. They are extremely busy at this time of year - so make your appointments soon. Many students have their photos taken over the summer before their senior year for this very reason.

Photo Orientation

First note, we are expecting a portrait orientation photo. This means that the picture is of your head and shoulders, not a full length photo. The goal should be that we can see your face. Also, we will not accept pictures with props included (pets, athletic equipment, instruments, etc.) The yearbook portrait should be just that - a portrait of you that identifies what you look like now. We reserve the right to not allow pictures that we deem inappropriate for the yearbook. Also, if you email the file to us - please check your inbox for a confirmation that the file was received and that you are all set. This is so important!
