Abbot Chromebook Distribution

Chromebook Distribution: We will be inviting families to come to each school (see dates/times below) to pick up a Chromebook, provided by the district, for use during in-person and remote learning. More information will be sent from individual schools within the next week, please see dates below.  In the event you are unable to attend the scheduled distribution in August, there will be an alternate pick-up date, we are waiting for guidance from the IT department. We will send more details next week regarding Chromebook distribution. We will not be requiring any type of registration as the IT technicians will assign each student a device in the IT Asset Database.  Each student will receive one chromebook and a charger.  The students will be expected to bring the Chromebook to and from school each day, as it will be utilized throughout the school day in all learning areas.  In the event a student forgets their Chromebook or needs their assigned Chromebook repaired, there will be a limited amount of loaner devices available at each school. A detailed handout will be attached to each chromebook with appropriate use expectations, log in information, technology tips and resource assistance.
