The cross-country team competed against Blanchard yesterday afternoon and came away with a split decision. The boys ran well but could not overcome a 1,2,3 finish by Blanchard. The next 6 runners crossing the finish line were Stony Brook but unfortunately it was not enough. These 6 were TJ C, Will B, Heath P, Nick V, Hayden M and Josiah W. On the girl’s side, Blanchard also came across the line 1,2,3 but were followed by 8 SB girls, which secured a score of 30-31 and the girls had their first win of the season. The eight who came across were Clara G, Rheya R, Abby H, Scarlett B, Anica H, Prakruti K, Norah S and Grace T. Great effort by all. And just a reminder, there is NO practice on Monday after school. Our next practice is on Tuesday with a meet against Bedford next Thursday.

It's not too late to join the AMC Math Club! Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, October 5th. Whether you just want to check it out or you know you want to take the AMC math test, come join us from 2-3 PM on Tuesday in room A321.

What are your ideas for Spirit Week? We are looking for ideas for daily activities to show school spirit! Please write down and submit your ideas to Mr. Mac or Mr. Barnas.

Writer's Club will have its first meeting on Thursday, September 30, in room A208.

The Stony Brook Math Team will begin next Thursday, September 30. Please come join us in Mrs. Rowe's room A221 from 2-3 PM.
