The cross-country teams competed against Chelmsford yesterday afternoon and the girls won but the boys were defeated. The boys ran first and in a field of 85 runners, TJ C finished first and Will B finished second. Other top Stony Brook runners were Orion M, Nathaniel W, Phin S and Hayden M. For the girls, 83 competed. Chelmsford had the top runner but she was followed by five Stony Brook runners - Abby H, Clara G, Scarlett B, Prakruti K and Norah S. Please note, we have practice this afternoon but we have a schedule change with our next meet. It is tomorrow, not Thursday. It is an away meet. We will not have practice this coming Thursday.

Friday is Real Kids Wear Pink Day! Wear your pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness and also as we kick off our spirit advisory week next week!

Penny wars update! Mrs. Goucher, Mr. Maly, and Mrs. Mills are in first place with POSITIVE 113 points. Mrs. Pentedemos, Mrs. Dikeman, and Mrs. Dulzcewski are in second place with NEGATIVE 50 points. And Mrs. Farley, Mrs. Sullivan and Mrs. Giannasca are in 3rd place with NEGATIVE 55 points.

Penny wars will be taking place all week! Jars are set up on each floor: outside of Miss Woodbury's room on the 8th grade floor, outside Miss Ryle's room on the 6th grade floor, and in the common room on the 7th grade floor. The goal is to put as many PENNIES in your spirit advisory jar as possible, and as many NICKELS, DIMES, QUARTERS and BILLS in other spirit advisory jars. See your advisory teacher or the posters around the school for the penny wars rules.

We will not be selling pink merchandise in the cafeteria today, but will be selling again tomorrow during advisory.
