Gimme a break...update! SB 2-15-19

It is astounding just how important the February break really is from inside the world of a middle school.  Even with our relatively temperate January, the building and the bodies take quite a beating during these past seven weeks.

If you find yourself missing the daily conversation about how their day at Stony Brook was you can take some time to review the District’s Report Card from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.  Please access the letter from Dr. Kerry Clery, WPS Assistant Superintendent, explaining the report and providing the necessary link to review them on your own: WPS DESE Report Card Explanation (http://tinyurl.com/y5xw4mbn)

If the report card is not your idea of a relaxing vacation and you're not able to find anything of interest on demand, you can certainly watch the archival footage of the Westford Challenge Success Teams: Success Stories event that took place earlier in the new year.  Seven different speakers shared their stories mapping out the various roads and paths they have experienced on their way to success. Each story is different yet many common themes emerged throughout the night ending with a question and answer period with the audience. You can enjoy it here with no commercial interruptions :-)

There was definitely a high level of sugar intake this week and we are very grateful for the amazing assortment of sweets provided for our staff by the wonderful volunteers of the WMSPTO.  Now, to commemorate next week’s vacation I just might enjoy a Kit Kat crisp wafer bar or two.
