Attention Grade 8 Students going to DC! All roommate forms are due by TODAY!

Congratulations go to Claire C for winning a Silver Key Award in the regional contest of the 2022 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards.  Claire won her award for a critical essay that she submitted on the legality of organ transplants.  Way to go, Claire!  You make Stony Brook proud!

This week is Random Acts of Kindness Week. Think of ways to spread kindness around the Stony Brook Community to keep making our school a better place! See the bulletin board in the lobby for ideas. Make someone smile today!

ADL leaders- check Google Classroom if you are interested in participating in the Youth Congress Field Trip on April 10th. See Mrs. Bailey, Miss Ryle, or Ms. Larkin with questions.

If any math team members could not join us for practice last week on February 9 and/or this week on February 16, but you CAN take the qualifying test on March 2 and join us for the calculator meet on March 9, please get the practice packets from A221 and let Mrs. Rowe know your food order.

Sarah A is the winner of the Jar of Hearts! She had the closest number at 406! Great job, Sarah. Please come pick up the jar.

Thank you, Rayan and Ibsham, for collecting donations for the tragic earthquake in Turkey. And thank you to the Stony Brook community for your generous response.

Monday is World Day of Social Justice. Social Justice Day is meant to remind people that advocacy and activism is what love and justice looks like. It is to uphold the principles of social justice by  promoting gender equality, and the rights of indigenous peoples and migrants; it is meant to advance social justice by dismantling and removing barriers that people face because of gender, age, race, ethnicity, religion, culture or disability. This weekend, think of ways you can get involved in making our world a more equitable place.
