Attention German Club Members! Our next meeting will be held after school on Tuesday, January 18, in Herr Ashby's room.

The boys and girls basketball teams took on cross-town rivals Blanchard Bulldogs.  About 300 spectators eager to watch Panther basketball for the first time in over 2 years at home witnessed two very exciting games.  The boys kicked off the afternoon with a closely contested intense nail biting 2 point overtime victory.  Blake K, Captain Jack B, and Chase D were burying 3 pointers and baseline shots all afternoon.  The entire team put in a 3rd quarter defensive performance holding the Bulldogs to just 1 point and made 12 out of their 17 free throws in the game.  Also playing well for the Panthers were Owen K and Carter H.

Not to be out done the girls put in an impressive performance as well.  Ten different players scored in the Panthers 44-28 victory.  Leading all scorers Captain Olivia P had 16 points with 4 three-pointers.  The girls also had a 4th quarter defensive exhibition giving up only one 2 point basket.  Putting in strong all-around play was Captain Maddie S, Hannah L, Victoria F, Caitlin P, Keira A, and Kaitlyn P.

Next week we have 2 more home games.  On Tuesday the Panthers take on Sanborn Middle School from Concord and on Thursday the Diamond Middle School from Lexington.  Come and cheer on your Panther basketball teams!
