Do you know that by donating your old clothes you can help children all over Massachusetts? Beginning Monday, March 25th through April 5th, there will be a clothing drive supporting "Cradles to Crayons'', an organization that provides clothing to low income families throughout Massachusetts. Your clothing donation can range from newborn sizes to adult medium and drop off boxes can be found near the front entrance starting on Monday. Your donations will be used to make kids clothing packs and will have an immediate contribution to your community.

Next Wednesday, March 27th is Pounce's 1st Birthday! The Student Leadership Council is hosting a Pep Rally to celebrate Pounce's Birthday during the Panthermonium Games on Wednesday. Each team should wear their team colors and will compete against each other in Pounce's birthday party games, like musical chairs, pin the party hat on pounce, and relay races. Are you interested in playing the party games at the pep rally? Sign up on the Google Form posted in the Whole School Google Classroom! Students who sign up will be chosen at random to decide who will compete in each of the games. Sign up before the end of the day on Monday. See the Whole School Google Classroom for more details on the pep rally games and team colors!

Leading up to the Pep Rally, the Student Leadership Council will be selling Mini Plush Pounces as a fundraiser. You can purchase a Mini Plush Pounce on Monday or Tuesday during morning and afternoon advisory in the main lobby. The Plush Pounces are 6 dollars each, and the proceeds will go to charity.

Softball tryouts will begin Monday after school. Please be on the field, ready to go, by 2:10.

Do you have great detective skills? During any advisory, the library has a scavenger hunt happening. As long as your teacher gives you permission, you are welcome to join.

The Round 1 winner for Stony Brook’s March Madness was Twins! The Round 2 winner was This Was Our Pact! The next two rounds are posted in the Student Schoolwide Google Classroom and on the library page. Please place your vote for rounds 3 & 4!

Yesterday was World Down Syndrome Day. World Down Syndrome Day gives people with Down Syndrome and their advocates a voice and an opportunity to be heard. It’s a day where we assemble and organize activities to promote public awareness for the genetic disorder. The goal is to educate others on the importance of supporting our friends and family who have directly and indirectly experienced life with Down syndrome. Every year, their voices grow louder, and they influence government policy, becoming more empowered. Through events around the world, people with Down syndrome can ensure their own advocacy and be included in their communities.
