​​Stony Brook is hosting a book drive to support Up With Books. The book drive will start Monday the 23rd and go till November 13th. Please make sure the books are new or gently used. Up With Books provides new books to underprivileged children and their families and promotes reading and literacy.  They work with homeless shelters, food pantries, and community organizations to support these children. The box will be in the lobby. We will accept all books from picture books to novels for kids.

Tomorrow is the first day of Computer Club.  Come to Mrs. Rowe’s room, A221, from 2 to 3pm if you want to do Computer Club (if you can’t come on Tuesday, you can drop in for one of the other Computer Club Tuesdays).

IMLEM Math Team will be starting their second round Thursday 11/2! If you didn't make it to the first round, please come join us for this round.  Practice continues to be in Mrs. Rowe's room from 2-3.  Our next meet is Thursday 11/30 - after Thanksgiving.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Real Kids Wear Pink spirit day on Friday. Seeing the number of students decked out in all their pink was incredible. This was a very difficult competition to judge because there were so many people who were absolutely covered in pink!  The winners are…. In 8th grade- Kyle S! In 7th grade- Colten C. And in 6th grade, with a tie for the second year in a row, the winners are Mollie M and Ky S! Congratulations to all our winners. Come down to the office to get your gift cards! 

Writing Club will start this Wednesday, October 25th. Come join us in Room 108 after school!

Thank you to everyone who participated in the second annual Real Kids Wear Pink Cornhole Competition! Congratulations to the 2nd place team, 8th graders Ryan G and Nathaniel W! And congratulations to the first place team, Mr. Buxton and Mrs. Murphy! All funds raised have been donated to the American Cancer Society. Thank you for all of your donations and participation!

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Penny Wars last week. The final results are in... and the winner, finishing with negative 6,044 points is... 6th grade! 8th grade finished in 2nd place with negative 8,889 points. and 7th grade finished in 3rd place with negative 11,210 points. Congratulations to the 6th graders, and thank you to everyone who donated. All funds raised have been donated to the American Cancer Society. 

The Student Leadership meets this Wednesday after school in LGI 8.
