More than twenty students at Stony Brook School participated on the MathCounts team  in more than eight rounds of online math practice during the past four months.  These students really enjoyed two hours of math fun every Saturday evening via zoom meetings.   All competed in the school round.  Among them, twelve students were selected to participated in the online MathCounts Chapter Competition on February 17. Five students qualified for the MA state round -- Hansen S, Jeffrey X, Nikhil B, Khushal G, and Zain I. Last Saturday, these five students represented Stony Brook School at the MathCounts MA state round competition in Boston.  As a team, we were ranked 5th of 23 teams in the whole state of MA! Meanwhile, Hansen S and Jeffrey X were among the top 25 individuals of more than 110 students.  We want to congratulate all who participated MathCounts this year for their great efforts and achievements!
