Any boy interested in playing Volleyball this Spring for Stony Brook – there will be a meeting tomorrow morning during Advisory in the Cafeteria.

The library needs your help! Over 100 students have overdue books. Please check your locker, backpack, and at home for library books. Please return them or renew them if you still need them.

Speech and Debate is cancelled for tomorrow.  Our next meeting is Thursday, February 8th.  See you then!

Chess Club is meeting in the library on Thursday after school.

ADL Leaders will meet Friday morning during advisory in LGI 8. Drop your things at your locker and come right to the meeting. We will take attendance for you in the meeting.

Math Team is currently practicing for their fourth meet.  Our second practice is this Thursday from 2-3 in Mrs. Severo’s room, A122.  Everyone is welcome.  Please make sure to bring a calculator if you have one!

The second session of the Anti-Racism Social Justice Book Club will be starting again on Wednesday, February 6th.  Please come join us to learn about and discuss the ideas of discrimination and social justice.  We will be reading the book Free Lunch by Rex Ogle and copies will be provided at the first meeting.  We are looking forward to a great session! Snacks will also be served! Bring a friend, new members are ALWAYS welcome!

Join us this Friday for January's spirit day - rhyme without reason! Find a friend or a group of friends to dress up as things that rhyme but otherwise have nothing in common. For example, you could dress up as a golf pro, GI Joe, cookie dough, and Marilyn Monroe. 

The girls’ basketball team played a great game yesterday against Bedford, defeating them by a score of 50 to 8.   In addition to the strong defensive effort,  ten different players scored, led by Lila A with 10 points, and followed by Morgan H and Anna S, each scoring 8 points.

The boys’ basketball team lost a tough game yesterday against Bedford, 48-36. Matt F, Shrey D, Sam B, Ryan G led the scorers.  Colin B played a good game defensively.
