Afternoon Update

Where we stand today!

Good afternoon,

I hope all of you are well.

I know this is a really difficult time for everyone.  My heart pours out to all of our seniors and I hope everyone understands that the Westford Academy Administration and Faculty will do everything possible to make the end of the year special for the Class of 2020.  If things don't work out as planned, we can work together to develop alternatives for future celebratory events. I look forward to all of the end of the year events, and hope we can finish as planned!  Hang in there Class of 2020!

Many of you have reached out about the lack of academic progress at this time.  I ask you to be patient and to have your students use the Choice Boards which have been developed by the faculty and curriculum coordinators.  It is a great resource.  I know the Department of Education is working with superintendents, special education coordinators, and legislators to create more opportunities for Distance Learning.  This is only week number two.  This is an unprecedented situation and we all need to work together.  I thank you for your patience and understanding.

Here are some updates from our Google Meet this morning.

Everything below is subject to change.  I wanted to share where we stand as of today.

• Prom at the Park Plaza- planned for May 16th. We have a contract with the Park Plaza and language that would support us if they are not open to the public. Small amount of tickets sold to date.  *** Hoping and praying for this event to happen.***

• Jr. Cotillion- Scheduled for May 9th at Kimball Farms- $2100 deposit to date.- Stay Tuned.
