Back to School Event | Westford Public Schools

Good morning,

Welcome to the School Year 2022-2023! We are thrilled to announce that we are going back to our model of an “in-person” Back to School Event on Thursday, October 6, 2022. In the past this was a no school day for students, however, this year will be a half-day for our students. Below is a schedule for you to follow. See link. Please have your student fill in the Room # for their classes. You will be “back in high school” for this event and you will follow your students schedule. Each class will be ten minutes in length. Teachers will provide you with an overview of their class and the expectations.

The event will begin at 2:45 pm for any parent/guardian/caregiver of students in grades 10 and 11 who would like to meet the Deans in the Performing Arts Center. This will be a 30-minute presentation regarding school rules and expectations for the year ahead. At 3:20 parents/guardians/caregivers will follow a bell schedule until 5:00 pm. This is for students in grades 10 and 11.

We will then welcome parents/guardians/caregivers for grade 9 at 5:15 pm in the Performing Arts Center, again, to review school rules, expectations for the year ahead and a brief overview from the school counseling department. We previously held our welcome back for seniors on August 30, 2022. Parents/guardians/caregivers of students in grades 9 and 12 will then follow a schedule from 5:50 pm to 7:30 pm. It should be a very informative event for each parent/guardian/caregiver, and an opportunity to match a name with a face. We hope that you will be able to attend and enjoy this very special event.
