Excessive Speed

Same goes for Hartford Rd. and Country Rd.

Good morning again!

I should have extended my comments to Hartford Rd. which has some dangerous curves as well as Country Rd.  

If your student is driving to W..A , would you please remind them to drive slowly.  It is a residential neighborhood.  The Westford Police Department has received multiple calls from local residents. The WPD will write a ticket for excessive speed and this could impact a driver with limited experience and also impact your insurance costs.  When approaching or leaving the school zone the recommendation is 10-20 mph. The speed limit when on campus is 5 mph.  We want to make sure our young drivers are safe, as well as our pedestrians and the residents of Patten Rd.

If you could have a conversation with your student, it would be very much appreciated.
