Happy Passover and Happy Easter!

Good afternoon,

I hope all of you are healthy and safe!  Week number one of the Remote Learning Plan is in the books!  I hope that things worked out well for our students and for you as parent(s)/guardian(s). This has been a huge change for all of us.  Staring at a computer all day with limited human interaction is not for me!  I thoroughly enjoy seeing our students daily and interacting with a terrific faculty!  I know we will get back there, but I truly miss everyone!  I feed off of the energy and youth that our students share each day at school.  If you are having any issues or concerns with the Remote Learning Plan, please feel free to email me or reach out to the Department Curriculum Coordinator.  We are working hard to make this process reasonable for everyone involved.

One huge request from me!  Please remind your students to check email daily.  The faculty wants to communicate and support your student.  Students should check their school Gmail account everyday. This is our way to communicate during this most unprecedented situation.

I want to wish all you a Happy Passover and Happy Easter.  This is going to be a very difficult weekend for so many of us.  We are used to prayer, family gatherings, etc.  Hang in there and please continue to practice social distancing, It is the only way we are going to beat this horrific virus!

Oh, I almost forgot.  The “senior surprise” will happen next week!  Stay tuned!  I will communicate the plan early next week!    ;-)

Hello Westford Academy Students,

We hope that you are all well and staying safe during this challenging time.  As we end our first week of remote learning, we want to extend our appreciation for your continued commitment toward your education.  Many positive comments have come from your teachers with respect to all the work that is being done within your (Google) classrooms.  Thank you!

For many of you,  this work each day will be very manageable.  But, please remember that your teachers have set up “office hours” and are always available by email.   This remote learning limits the Q and A that you are used to in class, so please take advantage and don’t shy away from asking questions or seeking clarification from your teachers.

We would  also like to remind you that a healthy academic environment depends on honesty, integrity, and mutual respect for all.  We need to make sure that you adhere to and abide by Westford Academy’s expectations for honorable behavior to ensure that you meet those expectations with regard to cheating/plagiarism and our Acceptable Use Policy.

Any students that are submitting work that is deemed non-original by your teacher may result in loss of credit.  Please abide by the student handbook before submitting any work.

We wish you the best during our remote learning time and hope you all continue to practice social distancing and stay engaged in your schoolwork.

Respectfully,

Ms. Murphy, Mr. Twomey, and Mr. Ware
