Enjoy the April vacation!

Good morning,

April vacation has arrived!  I think that everyone is ready for a break. The stretch between the February and April vacation can be a long haul!  But we made it!  Once we return after vacation on April 25th, there will be approximately 9 weeks of school remaining until the summer recess.  I hope that all of you have the opportunity to enjoy some of the beautiful spring weather in New England with family and friends, or perhaps you are traveling to somewhere tropical.  Wherever you go next week, please be safe and have fun!

Just a reminder that we still have MCAS Math (grade10) and Science (grade 9) ahead of us.  See the schedule below:

For Families Withdrawing their student(s) from Westford Public Schools

For more efficient tracking purposes, Westford Public Schools has a "Westford Intent to Withdraw - Year End" Google Form.

Any family that must withdraw a student from WPS must submit their "intent" to withdraw by clicking the link for their current school(s) and filling out the Google form.  The respective school(s) will receive notification when the form is filled out.  Staff will then contact the family and send the appropriate school withdrawal paperwork to complete the process.  This form will allow us to confirm and crosscheck all withdrawals from the District for accurate enrollment numbers.  Any students leaving the district must be officially withdrawn from WPS in order to release any records to a new district.

The form is located on the District page under the Registration link.

Human Rights Club - Helping Women in Need

Buy a homemade tote bag from the Human Rights Club and help support women in need during Women's History Month.  Proceeds from the sales go to fundraising for Saheli, a non-profit that works with women who are victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in our South Asian and Arab communities.  An evening of Indian music, food, dance and henna-tattooing called "Chaat Masala" will be held to raise funds for Saheli on May 13 at 6:30 pm at Westford Academy.  Tickets are on-sale ($25 for general admission; $20 for students; children under 5 are free); you can purchase them from a Human Rights Club member in the cafeteria during lunches or on-line @brownpapertickets.com, just search for "Chaat Masala" or "Saheli."
