SuperBowl Weekend!

Good afternoon!

What an amazing day outside!  Sixty degrees in mid-February is quite the shocker.  Considering it was ten-twenty degrees below zero last Saturday!  Quite the swing in temperatures!  I hope this is a good sign of an early spring!  Wishful thinking!  I am sure that the snow-lovers don’t appreciate my hope for an early spring.  My apologies to our snow-lovers.

The PowerSchool Student Information System continues to be a challenge.  We apologize for the delay with opening the portal for mid-year grades.  The reason for the delay is that we want to make sure the information is completely accurate.  Thank you for your patience and understanding.  We are doing our very best and things should improve as the year progresses.  Grades are available for seniors. See the details below.  Grades for 9-11 should be available Monday afternoon.  I will be sure to alert all of you when the portal is open.

Can you believe it?  Next welcome the two middle schools to W.A. for an introduction to high school. The Blanchard and Stony Brook Middle School 8th graders will be here on Tuesday, and we will bring them together as one class, the Class of 2027 for the first time in our performing arts center.  Then on Wednesday evening we will welcome the parents/caregivers of the Class of 2027 at 6:30 PM.  Building tours begin at 5:45 PM for any interested incoming students. Parents/Caregivers welcome to tour as well!

Seniors – Report Cards Are Now Visible in PowerSchool

The Q2/S1 report cards are now visible in the PowerSchool portal for our SENIORS!  A few things to note:

Seniors were asked to view the report cards yesterday and notify their counselors if there were any errors.

The GPA on this transcript has been recalculated for classes students have completed in Semester 1 of their senior year.  It does not include semester 1 grades from full year courses.  This note was added at the bottom of transcripts as well.  Please remember, colleges use their own system to recalculate your GPA on their end.

If a senior is a full-time Dual Enrollment student, you will NOT see those classes listed on your report card.  Those classes ARE on your transcript (along with grade and earned credit).
