Good afternoon,
Big week ahead! GRADUATION ~ Class of 2022! I will be sending out more details early next week. I am praying for good weather! I will do everything within my power to host the graduation on Friday evening June 3rd at 5:30 p.m., however, I will never place anyone in harms way. If there is the possbility of a strong thunderstom at the time of the ceremony, I may have to postpone to Saturday, June 4th at 11:00 a.m. Right now the 7-day forecast looks good!
Today we had our Senior Capstone Exhibition. It was great to hear about all of the intership experiences or projects from our seniors. I am very proud of this class! They have persevered and stuck together as one class~ Class of 2022!
Tuesday, some members of the Class of 2022 will partake in a clambake at Foster's in Maine. It should be a fun time. In addtion, we have the SADD Mock Accident next week, graduation rehearsal on Thursday morning at 9:30 with a BBQ to follow. There is also a Senior Awards Ceremony on Wednesday morning at 8:45 a.m., this is by invitation. Then the big day! Graduation, June 3, 2022 @ 5:30 p.m.

Time to celebrate! WA Last Night is the all-night, substance-free, fun-filled celebration for the Class of 2022. There will be games, refreshments including Kimball's Ice Cream, entertainment, and tons of PRIZES. Please register by May 31st at www.walastnight.org/for-seniors
WA LAST NIGHT 2022
WA Last Night 2022 is the all-night, substance-free celebration for our Westford Academy graduating seniors, which will be held on Friday, June 3rd starting at 10:00 PM. With almost 100% participation, Last Night is a highlight for WA graduates. It takes over 300 volunteers and many, many generous donors to make this evening a success. Parents of all students, from K to 12, are encouraged to volunteer. We are in DESPERATE NEED of more volunteers. There are Pre and Post Event volunteer opportunities as well as During the Event volunteer opportunities. We really hope you can join us for the event this year. Westford Annual Town Meeting
Please mark your calendars for the Annual Town Meeting on Saturday, June 11th, at 9:00 AM on the Westford Academy field (Rain Date Sunday, June 12th). Important topics include the FY23 Budget, the Senior Center HVAC system, and more!

Graduation Announcements
Graduation Announcements are available for purchase in the main office. These are not graduation tickets. They are simply nice announcements to serve as a keepsake for graduation or to send to family members and friends. The cost is $2.00 per announcement (10 announcements per family while they last). We accept checks (made payable to Westford Academy, memo section “Graduation Announcements”) and cash. Please come to the main office to purchase.

If your graduating senior has money left on his/her lunch account, you may request a refund or a transfer of funds to a sibling. Please contact the Food Service Department in writing: cwallace@westfordk12.us , trazzaboni@westfordk12.us or kthompson@westfordk12.us
Requests must be in writing and should be done by June 6th of this school year. Requests received after June 6th cannot be processed until September, 2022.

Volunteer Host Families Needed for Foreign Exchange Students
Are you interested in welcoming an international exchange student into your home for the 2022-2023 academic year? We are currently seeking volunteer host families to host a foreign exchange student for one full academic year, or one academic semester. This is a big commitment. But the experience can and has been life-changing for both exchange students and host families. You would: provide a room for the exchange student to sleep in,
provide three meals a day, arrange transportation to and from school, (we waive the bus fee!) act as a sort of personal cultural ambassador, and show the exchange student how wonderful, crazy, and warm and welcoming your family is! Sound like fun?? It is. We are very proud to say that Westford Academy has hosted over 200 international students from 40 countries around the world since 1976. We are successful because of the generous support of our volunteer host families…..Do you want to become one? :-)

Westford Academy Fall 2022 Sport Registration is now OPEN!
All student-athletes MUST register on FamilyiD prior to try outs and turn in an UP-TO-DATE physical to the coach or to Danielle Mendonca in the main office prior to ANY participation. Reminder, physicals are valid for 13 months.

Senior Parents - National Honor Society – Westford food Pantry Donations
National Honor Society is making one final collection of toiletry items to donate to the Westford Food Pantry. We are asking that you consider donating one of the suggested items below on your way into the Senior Awards Ceremony scheduled for June 1st at 8:45am. Class of 2024 - Boston Trip
The Class of 2024 is going to Boston on Friday, June 17th from 4-10pm for our end of year field trip! The cost is $15, which covers transportation to and from the city. All permission slips and payments must be in to Mrs. Bonakdar or Mr. Claycomb by Friday, June 3. Permission slips are available in the Class of 2024 Google Classroom or in Room 203.

Westford Community Television is offering a recording of the 2022 graduation ceremony in your choice of Digital download, DVD or BRD. Keep a copy of the DVD or BRD inside your yearbook to have for class reunions and reminiscing with friends and family. You'll see the speeches, hear the music and see all your classmates receiving their diploma.
