Good afternoon,

Just announcements for you today!

Parent Volunteers/CORI Applications

A reminder that parent volunteer CORI requests for the 2019-2020 school year are only done through December 2019.  As of January 1, 2020, CORI's are only done on an emergency basis. If you plan on volunteering during the 2019-2020 school year, you need to be CORI'd by January 1. If you even think there may be a chance that you will be volunteering in some capacity at Westford Academy, please come to the Main Office at Westford Academy between the hours of 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM to complete a CORI application.

Career Exploration Speakers

The Guidance Department is looking for additional career speakers for the Career Exploration Breakfast, a WA Guidance School to Careers program for all juniors and sophomores.  Each career speaker will talk to four small groups of students in an informal, round table format over juice and muffins between 7:30 - 9:30 AM on Wednesday, December 4,  2018.

The goal of this program is to help students connect academic schoolwork to career readiness and awareness beyond Westford Academy. The objective is for our students to learn more about the speaker's career, educational path, what a typical day is like, and then connect academic schoolwork to their possible future career.  While we have already secured several speakers, we are looking to expand into new and diverse career areas.

**If you can commit to the 2-hour time frame on Wednesday, December 4 from 7:30 - 9:30 AM, please contact Karen Halloran at  khalloran@westfordk12.us with your name and career area that you'd like to represent.

We are very appreciative of your valuable time!
