Good afternoon,

Another full week of school for our W.A. students is behind us.  Reminder to all that progress report are October 2nd. and our Back to School Event is this Thursday, October 4th.  The schedule for the event has been shared with all of you.  Please have your son/daughter fill out his/her schedule for the event.  We will have many students guides throughout the building to point you in the right direction so you get to your next class on time! No TARDIES! :-)  We look forward to seeing you.  There is NO school for students on October 4th.

The weekend of Columbus Day is a terrific weekend to take some tours of colleges and universities.  I hope you have made some plans.  Seeing the schools in session is a great opportunity for you son/daughter to get a better feel for each college or university. Good luck if you plan on making some visits.  I know that I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the different schools when I visited with my three children.

In addition, as the summer months have drifted away the and the fast pace of school and co-curricular activities kick in, please make some time for a family dinner.  Sitting around the table "breaking bread" and slowing things down is a good thing.  Life just moves too quickly and we need to pause and soak it in.  I cannot believe my youngest is a junior in college!  Time goes by!  We made a real effort to have a "Sunday dinner" and it has remained a tradition in my home.  Remind your son/daughter to "power down" the device during this dinner and place it in the charger while your "family recharges"!
