Safety Drill Training | Westford Public Schools

Good Monday morning to all of you!

FYI- there was a school safety drill training with the Westford Police and Fire Departments at W.A. on Saturday, November 5, 2022 and there will be another next Saturday, November 12, 2022. During the training the use of "simunitions" are part of the WPD training tools. Simunitions are practice, non-live rounds of ammunition, used to detain the perpetrator. I alerted the faculty that if a simunition is found, to report it to the main office. While every effort was made to find every simunition round on Saturday, one was found this morning at W.A. It was immediately brought to the main office.

The safety drill training went very well on Saturday, and I believe we are a safer school district because of this unified training effort of School, Police, and Fire personnel.
