Traffic!

Good morning,

I am pleading with all of you who drop off and pick up each day for your attention, kindness, patience and understanding.  This is the most densely populated location in Westford with approximately 2000 people coming to/or leaving this school every day.  We have added two additional WONDERFUL "civilian" traffic personnel to assist with drop off and pick up each day.  One person has limited training, the other has zero training.  There is no "training camp" for traffic personnel .  They are parents of alumni or current students at W.A.  Today when I checked in, the gentleman that works in the middle of the street said, "I was almost hit twice today!"

That is not good!  He sees a lot of people texting while coming and leaving the school.  Another teacher sought me out this morning to say that the teacher parking area is like the Indianapolis Speedway! The speed limit when you enter the W.A. lot is 5 MPH. We installed speed bumps and crosswalks to assist with this issue.  I am asking you to please be careful. If this doesn't not pertain to you, I am sorry, but I had to get this message out to everyone so that nobody gets hurt!
