Westford Academy School Advisory Council (SAC)

We need another parent/guardian/caregiver representative.

The Westford Academy School Advisory Council, also known as SAC or School Council, is a state-mandated and elected body representing parents and staff. The Westford Academy School Advisory Council views itself, in relation to the School Committee, as the appropriate vehicle for communicating the concerns and opinions of the W.A. community.

The School Advisory Council  meets at 6:00  PM on Thursday evenings 6-7 times throughout the school year.   If you wish to join the Westford Academy School Advisory Council meeting, please email jantonelli@westfordk12.us.  Please include why you would like to be an active member of this committee, a copy of your resume/work history.  Once all of the candidates are in, the W.A. school community will be asked to vote for one candidate based on your experience.  Please send your information to me by Friday, September 30th. 

School Council Responsibilities

Adopting educational goals for the school that are consistent with local educational policies and statewide student performance standards

Identifying the educational needs of students attending the school

Reviewing the annual school building budget

Formulating a school improvement plan
