Insurance and Damages
Notify the Chromebook Helpdesk of any damages. Insuring your device is strongly recommended.
One One-to-World Help desk located in the hall to the right of the Library will service any damaged Chromebook. Devices insured by families will be repaired at no cost to the family. Uninsured devices will be repaired at a cost. We recommend that families seriously consider buying insurance as it is only offered to 9th Graders when they receive their new Chromebooks. There will be no other opportunities to purchase insurance after September 30, 2023.
These images show the coverage. There is no deductible and there is no limit to the number of times you can claim. Westford Public Schools will charge the parent/guardian for the cost of repairs to uninsured Chromebooks except for items covered by the manufacturer warranty or defects.
