Happy Mother's Day Weekend!

Good afternoon,

I would like to wish all of our Moms a wonderful Mother's Day Weekend!

I hope you receive lots of love!

Early next week I will send out specific details regarding Prom Pictures at the Town Common from 4:45-6:00 PM on Saturday, May 20, 2023.  It is always very busy.  I will provide plenty of details next week on handicapped and regular parking.

From the Deans Corner

•Underclassmen Parking in the Senior Lot: if your student is driving to school these days, please make sure they are leaving home with plenty of time to arrive on time.  They should be in the parking lot by 7:25 am to make it to their classes.  We’re noticing a higher volume of tardies recently. Also note: underclassmen will not be allowed to park on WA property during school hours beginning May 23rd.  We have two solid weeks of senior activities, and seniors will need every spot.  Underclassmen can return to our lot on June 5th.

•Road lessons are not excused absences: we are hearing from teachers that students are missing classes for road lessons.  Lessons should be scheduled after school hours.

•Prom Buses to Cambridge for Senior Prom: There’s more room on the senior buses heading to Cambridge from the Common at 6pm and returning to WA around midnight.  Please make sure your student signs up ASAP if they are interested in joining in.  It’s a FREE ride, but needs to be on our list to take advantage! Students should visit or contact Michele Curtis mcurtis@westfordk12.us

•Toy Guns/Nerf Blasters not allowed on school property: The game of “assassin” is not allowed on school property.  Students are not allowed to have toy guns/blasters in their possession on school property  Please help us with this.

•Morning Drop Offs: Please continue to drop off your student behind Westford Academy.  No one should be pulling up to the front of the school.  Buses have to drop off, going in the opposite direction, and no one should be entering the DO NOT ENTER area before the time specified.  Thank you.

•RELAY for LIFE this Saturday, May 13th from 4-11pm on Alumni Field:  We have 8 teams ready to go, and WALK-INS are encouraged anytime during the event!   $5 for a Memory Mile or a $20 donation to join us for any or all of the night.  ALL proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society.  Come for some, or stay for all!  Grab your family and/or friends for a nice night of walking, talking and raising money for a great cause. Pack a picnic, bring some chairs, or just

COME!  Music will be playing, snacks to buy, and survivor walks with luminaries scattered throughout the event.  JOIN IN!
