WORKING PAPERS - Summer Schedule - If your child has been offered a job and needs to pick up working papers between July 2nd and August 7th, please have them see Nina Mangan at the Westford Public Schools Central Office located at 23 Depot Street (just behind the Abbot School.)  Nina will be available to help your child Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.  Starting Wednesday, August 8th, working papers will once again be available at Westford Academy (Main Office) between the hours of 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

School Committee Information:  The School Committee welcomes parents and community members to attend School Committee meetings, which are held on alternate Monday evenings at 7:30pm in the Millennium's Conference Room B. Meeting agendas and supporting documents are posted online the Friday prior to a meeting via the town's Document Management System. Other helpful School Committee links are listed below:

CHALLENGE SUCCESS Newsletter & Parent Meeting Tuesday 6/19/18 - Summer is almost here, but before we head out to the beaches, send our children off to camp, and forget about school altogether, the Westford Challenge Success Parent Group wants to take one last opportunity to engage with you about the hopes and concerns we have about helping our kids be well-balanced students. Attached above is the June parent newsletter, chock full of tips and resources for you to consider this summer.  We'd also like to invite you to a parent get-together being held on Tuesday, June 19th, at 7:30 PM. Check the newsletter for details, then head over to the signup page to reserve your spot. This casual event will be a good chance to meet some other parents doing their best to raise and support happy, healthy kids. Newsletter may be found here.

KIMBALL FARM RECYCLING COMPETITION – Kimball Farm is conducting a competition with local schools to have kids design a new recycling sign to help promote customers to think green! All signs must be submitted by July 15 to Tim Lilley, 400 Littleton Rd., Westford or dropped off at the Kimball’s batting cage.  The 1st place winner will receive 4 Give Me Five Activities wristbands; 2nd place will receive 3 wristbands; and 3rd place will receive 2 wristbands.  For more information email Tim at TLilley@kimballfarm.com.

WESTFORD SUMMER MUSIC PROGRAM - The Westford Summer Music program is now accepting registrations for band and orchestra students entering grades 5 through 9 in September 2018. Band and orchestra ensembles will rehearse daily from 8:00 until noon at the Stony Brook School from July 9 through July 13.  During the week, the students will prepare new music and give a free performance on Friday morning, July 13 at 11:00. ELDER ABUSE PREVENTION MONTH PRESENTATION - Please join the Cameron Senior Center, Westford Coalition for Non-Violence and Westford’s Commission on Disability as we invite Diane Powell, Protective Service Supervisor, from Elder Services of the Merrimack Valley, as she gives us a presentation for seniors and family members. Come and learn about the signs and symptoms of elder abuse, neglect and exploitation. Hear about ways that you can help family and friends get the support they need or understand how to get help for yourself. Find out what Elder Protective Services can do to assist seniors who are struggling at Cameron Senior Center, Westford on June 19 from 11:00 to noon. YOUTH HOCKEY and the KDK Foundation are excited to present the FREE 2018 Summer Learn to Skate AND Learn to Play Hockey programs for boys and girls in Grades Pre-K through Grade 5! The Learn to skate program is designed for boys and girls who are looking to either learn to skate or to improve their skating skills.  No previous skating experience is required. The Learn to play hockey program is designed for boys and girls who are looking to learn the game of hockey and develop their hockey skills. Prior skating skills are required.  The program is designed for skaters who have not previously been and are not currently on a hockey team. Dates:  June 24, July 1, July 8, July 15, July 22 and July 29; Time: 3:30-4:30 PM; Location:  Skate 3 White Rink - 355 Middlesex Road. Tyngsboro, MA. HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF GREATER LOWELL - Wednesday, Sept 12, 2018, 7:10 PM - Boston Red Sox vs Toronto Blue Jays - Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell is partnering with Friends of Rajiv Paluri to host a Red Sox Night!  Invite all your friends, family, and neighbors to join us on Wed, Sept 12, at 7:10 p.m. to watch the Red Sox play the Toronto Blue Jays in the upper bleachers.
