Westford and Wayland Recent Communications 2-6-2022

Good Afternoon,

I wanted to share with you two of the recent communications between the Westford and Wayland public school districts.  Here is a link to a memo sent to me on Thursday evening from Superintendent Omar X. Easy from Wayland Public Schools (memo from Wayland).  Friday afternoon, the following response was sent directly to Superintendent Easy acknowledging his decision to not have Wayland athletes compete against Westford for the spring season (Westford memo to Wayland).  

There has been and will be a great deal of work to do in response to the specific behavior exhibited from our bleachers as well as the ongoing work we need to do as a community.  It will take time and we are committed to the long process necessary to enact and sustain meaningful change.  As we move forward, we will share updated information with you as to the actions we are taking as a district and community.
